So here is the new version of DC_Image, easier and friendlier :)
Changes against the second version: it now warns you if you don't use a compatible Apo version (only 7X can do DC at the moment) or your image folder setup is wrong.

To install it, do the following:
  1. Put the .dll in a folder named "Plugins" where your Apophysis7X.exe is
  2. Create a folder named "Images", also where your Apophysis7X.exe is and fill it with BITMAP (*.bmp) files.


To use a bitmap, you must select it via the variable dc_image_index (-1 means no image) - after you installed an image into the image folder, you must restart Apo7X so it appears.

I have also produced a video tutorial explaining DC_Image3 in detail and how you "plan" textures and create matching gradients. If you are puzzled about this beast, make sure you watch that video. Part one is here.

I just got around to .15B from .14 and saw you removed most of the templates. Why? I loved and overused those templates so much!

You probably didn't copy the default templates from the .14 package. They are in a separate file which still will be loaded in .15 and .15B

Have a small issue I'd like you to help resolve. I've been challenged re the validity of my recent Spot On as a Raw Fractal. Apparently, according to my challenger, who knows more about source codes than I do, this image should be posted in another category as a Manipulation. I'm happy to do whatever is the right thing here, but am interested to know what you think that is? I've had a lot of fun using this but don't want to offend anyone & need to know the right procedures for posting. Also, if dc_image doesn't produce raw Fractals, then it can't be used in the f--l--a--r--k Weekly Apophysis Challenges, where the Rules state only Raw Fractals accepted.

Probably an old version - this one is the third :) Just download it and try again; it's now way easier to use!

What I had -still do- is a small program/application by you "dcI-buddy" but I don't think is the same. Anyway I watched the tutorial, both parts, and will try it and see what I can come up with. Will send a link.
Thank you again for all you do. I am also one of those who wishes to be rich so I can show you my appreciation in a more "tangible" way. :nod: :heart:
